-
Do you offer Drop-in Classes?Absolutely. The unique service that only Creative Edge provides caters to dancers who require flexibility in their schedules. The drop-in program offers multiple classes to dancers of various age and skill levels to participate in classes as often as they would like. We have payment structures that allow you to participate in one class, 5 classes, 10 or 20 classes. -
Who can attend Creative Edge Dance Studio?Creative Edge is open to all; we offer classes on both a competitive and recreational level in several different styles of dance. Our Creative Movement class students start as young as 2.5 years old. We also welcome dancers from across Halton to take part in our drop in programs or intensive dance workshops with Guest Choreographers.
-
What health and safety protocols do you have in place? The health and safety of dancers, parents and staff is our top priority. See below for the following steps we will be taking this September. Steps will be taken to ensure Creative Edge adheres to all requirements from the Ministry of Health. All dance rooms have been measured and taped to ensure 2m distances Class Size will be limited. Hallways and Common Areas have been measured with floor signage to ensure 2m distances. We will follow the usual health and safety requirements we have always followed in the past in addition to extra disinfecting and cleaning practices implemented throughout the day (bathrooms, commonly touched areas etc). All participants and staff will be screened upon arrival. Those showing signs and/or symptoms of Covid-19 will not be permitted in the building. Additional hand hygiene practices will be required of all staff and participants. Hand sanitizers will be placed in all room, entrances, exits and common areas. Participants will be required to maintain the 2m distances unless wearing masks. Each participant will have a designated area in the room to dance in. Please note these policies are subject to change.
-
I am interested in the competitive program. How do I join?We offer competitive programs for dancers 6 years and up. The instructors select dancers from the recreational stream to train 4+ hours a week. We attend 4 competitions a year. We would be happy to arrange an audition and meeting with our Artistic Director. We are extremely proud of our competitive dance team and welcome new members. Please email us to set up an appointment with the Artistic Director.
-
How do I register? You can download our registration package or come into the studio and sign your child up. Our friendly staff will be able to help you with all questions and concerns you may have about dance.
-
What are the hours of the dance studio? Our studio is open Monday to Thursday from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am – 1:00pm. Please keep in mind that our hours of operation may vary slightly from year to year. If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us.
-
What age can you start? The age a child can begin to dance varies as to their level of dance. There are no definitive barriers to dance based on age or ability. Creative Edge can help you assess that ability and find exactly what works for you. Don’t forget we also offer programs for young children who start our Creative Movement class at 2 1/2 years of age.

Due to the nature of designing and creating costumes, it is impossible to say what the final balance will be. However, Creative Edge keeps in mind the need for financial responsibility and does an excellent job balancing the fabulous costumes with affordability.

However we will have celebration days where parents can come watch recreational students for an entire class. If your child attends one of our workshops we do offer a unique observer package for parents where they are able to view the class from an observation studio.
-
