Dance Studio Burlington
Creative Edge Dance studio offers a fresh and stimulating recreational dance program featuring the most popular dance genres. Kids ages 2.5 to adults can improve their dance technique and learn innovative styles. Classes are conducted at a more leisurely pace, keeping the fun in dance while furthering the dancers’ abilities. Creative Edge offers fun programming but also aims to challenge each dancer. Most dancers begin in a recreational level to learn the basic technique and gain experience performing on a stage and being part of a team. Dancers learn commitment, teamwork, time management and social skills that will set the stage for their future.
Our recreational classes offer something for everyone who wants to have the opportunity to grow as a dancer, without the higher level of commitment like in competitive dance. Students are placed according to both skill and age level. We offer classes to the young and young at heart. Children as young as 2 1/2 can begin to dance in our creative movement program. We offer beginner to intermediate level recreational dance classes for children as well as adults. All classes run for about 1 hour and dancers are permitted to take multiple classes! Even if you aren’t sure of one style you can drop in to any recreational class in the months of September through to December.
After improving technique and style all year, students will have the opportunity to perform on stage in our year-end recital at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre in June.
Classes begin in September and run until June
Parents/Guardians of Recreational students are encouraged to come inside the building at least once a week to read any posted information pertaining to your child’s classes as well as general studio information.
Testimonial “Our daughter was first introduced to Creative Edge through their summer camp program. Since then, she has developed a true love of dance. The staff and company at Creative Edge have been so welcoming to her and made her feel part of the dance family. We highly recommend the studio to anyone!”
